Brewer Science chose Vestal Corporation to provide design services for their existing facility located in Rolla, MO.  “Brewer Science is a global leader in developing and manufacturing next-generation materials and processes that foster the technology needed for tomorrow.” The awarded design proposal was an evaluation of their existing conference room and surrounding spaces located at the entrance of the facility. The proposal included an approach to social distancing that came about during the COVID-19 pandemic, as it has created challenges in virtually every aspect of our lives, including the workplace. Vestal Corporation addressed these challenges by researching evolving office design best-practices, compiling design recommendations for maintaining social distancing to promote employees’ and visitors’ safety and well-being and developed preliminary suggestions for indoor air-quality improvements to align with recent CDC recommendations. These concept design strategies help to create a safer facility for Brewer Science’s employees and visitors.
