Benny brings significant project scheduling experience to our company. She started her Project career in 2011 in Lagos Nigeria, where she worked on major oil and gas projects. She has been working on utility projects in Texas since 2017.
She has a Bachelor degree in Engineering, is certified in Project Management (PMP), and is a Scrum Master. Benny will be responsible for managing all project schedules for Vestal. She will also be driving the upgrades and changes to our scheduling process to allow us to more effectively assess manpower, resources, and earned value vs planned value.

Southern Illinois Healthcare Foundation (SIHF) Breaks Ground on New Urgent Care Facility in the Metro-East

SIHF,  in conjunction with  Touchette Regional Hospital broke ground on East St. Louis’ first Urgent Care Clinic.  The project is in part, the result of a grant from Illinois Healthcare Transformation Collaboratives and a first step in the larger “LifeBridge” Campaign that will, connect health and social conditions to create a path to good health.   Larry McCulley CEO of both SIHF and Touchette Regional Hospital stated, ” We are extremely pleased to be launching this much-needed service for the residence of the greater East St. Louis metro area.

Vestal Corporation’s – Healthcare Group supported SIHF and its General Contractor partner, Impact Strategies through providing Integrated Design Services for the new $2.8 million, 5,000 square foot Urgent Care Facility.  The new facility is connected to an existing SIHF Healthcare Facility and includes, Reception, Patient Waiting Area, Exam Rooms, Procedure Room, Laboratory and Radiology Services.  The structure was designed to blend the existing building architecture but express its unique purpose through innovative design elements and positioning”

Vestal’s BIM team performed 3D Imagining of an existing distillery fermentation process in preparation for major production expansion. Services included full 360 deg. scans and model development to support distillery expansion that included adding Mash and Fermentation Tanks into a very area restricted process floor. The Vestal BIM team used a Leica BLK360 imaging laser scanner and Autodesk ReCap Pro for collecting and processing the data. The ReCap Pro processes used formatted the BLK360 imagery and scans to allow the client to view data points, take measurements, annotate and collaborate into the application in real time.

Vestal Corporation has made a corporate gift to The Center for Autism Education in support of their 17th annual trivia night. The Center for Autism Education’s mission is to assure each student regardless of ability or economic level is provided an education in a positive and safe learning environment so that all reach their fullest potential. Vestal Corporation has made a donation in support of the Sonoran Institute’s Mexicali Fluye Project. The Mexicali Fluye Project is a flagship program that has revolutionized the cleaning of drains and seeks to change the culture of communities by transforming depleted areas in to shared living spaces. The Mexicali Fluye project is a great way to support a healthier environment and a better quality of life for local residents. This project includes the greater Mexicali area, which is where Vestal’s subsidiary Baja Industrial Engineering and Consulting is located. Vestal and BIEC are committed to making a positive impact in the communities around them.

In conjunction with our friends at Boeing, Vestal Corporation wrapped up its annual United States Marine Corps – Toys For Tots Campaign. Vestal team members donated over 30 toys with Vestal Corporation matching their donations bringing the total toys donated to just over 70. The toys where delivered to members of the USMC at the Missouri Athletic Club’s annual Army vs. Navy football game day celebration.

Lori Melton, Vestal’s Document Control Specialist, has spent time over the last year searching for and acquiring all of the beautiful decorations to adorn these amazing trees. Great job Lori!

This past weekend, Vestal’s Team Leaders headed to Lake Taneycomo in Southern Missouri for some late season trout fishing. Vestal Corporation is conducting a feasibility study for a Greenfield FDA Packaging Facility. Vestal is evaluating multiple sites, developing concepts, determining project scope limits, process design, identifying and evaluating equipment, creating the project layouts, determining the electrical requirements, and preparing a capital cost estimate. The product of Vestal’s efforts will help the client in its evaluation of the proposed project and its potential ROI.

Vestal Corporation is providing Integrated Design Services to expand production of hydrated lime with the addition of a new hydrate line. The hydrate line is located in the existing facility to assist in keeping pace with increased demand for its products. In conjunction with the hydrated lime production expansion, Vestal is also providing Integrated Design Services for a new rail spur, product storage silo with rail loading capability.

Vestal Corporation and Constellation Brands team members enjoyed a fun filled evening at TopGolf; St. Louis’ newest attraction. It did not take very long to realize that we were all better designers and builders than golfers. Despite our lack of golf skills a great time was had by all enjoying the great outdoor space TopGolf provides and the taste of refreshing Modelo and Corona Premier beers.

Vestal Corporation is providing Integrated Design Services to upgrade an existing cement import terminal in Florida. Import terminal upgrades include a new concrete dock and mobile ship unloader. Additional upgrades include a new ship unloading system to support the installation of a new cement pneumatic transport line that will tie into the existing conveying line.

This summer Arantxa Sanchez interned for Vestal Corporation at the Constellation Brands Brewery in Nava, Mexico. Arantxa is a junior at Universidad de Monterrey studying civil engineering. A large part of Arantxa’s learning experience included meeting with construction team project managers and superintendents to review progress and gain a better understanding how engineering designs are implemented in the field.READ MORE
